Grass-Fed Beef and your health

-Better flavor
-High in Omega-3 fats
-Cancer-fighting CLA
-A safe food source
-Environmentally sustainable

Grassfed and finished beef is as tender as supermarket beef, with an improved flavor that will make you realize what you have been missing.  And like the natural meat from wild forage animals, it has positive health benefits.  The bad rap that beef has been given is the result of the change to finishing cattle on grain in feedlots, with the attendant need for constant antibiotic treatment, and the rush to market that calls for growth hormones.

Cattle whose diet is limited to forage offer us good sources of food high in protein and important minerals and vitamins yet provide the type of fats our bodies require for optimum physical and mental health.  Their healthy pH balance sustains bacteria that are needed to produce Omega-3 fat and high levels of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid).

Our grassfed operation aims to be environmentally sustainable.  Rotational grazing mimics the way the bison used the land for centuries, our use of horses for cattlework has little impact on the land and our petroleum inputs are low.  Our upgrades to the watering system protect water sources and use less water.  Local marketing direct from the pasture means much fewer resources are needed to get the beef to you.
